Why black or blue ink?

Exam and government portals commonly require the signature in black or blue ink. The tool recolors every kept stroke to a uniform pure black or pen blue, so an uneven photo still produces compliant, consistent ink.

Transparent PNG or white JPEG — which should I pick?

Transparent PNG if you'll place the signature over documents (contracts, PDFs) — no white box around it. White JPEG if a portal demands a JPG/JPEG file or a KB cap: JPEG has a quality dial, so the exact-size option can actually target the KB limit.

My result looks patchy or full of specks — what should I fix?

Take the photo straight-on in even light; a shadow across the page is the usual culprit and can often be cut by lowering the threshold. Raise the threshold if pen strokes are dropping out, and raise despeckle to clear paper grain and dust. Dark ink on plain white paper works best.

Can it produce the 140×60 px, 10–20 KB signature Indian portals ask for?

Yes — turn on "Exact size", enter the width, height, and max KB, and the signature is centered in that frame and encoded to the cap. The size shown is the real encoded size. (For KB targeting choose White JPEG; PNG has no quality dial, and the tool says so honestly.)
